Practice Tips

PRACTICE AT LEAST THREE TIMES WEEKLY FOR 15-30 MINUTES!

  1. Section by Section Practice: Divide your piece into small sections and practice each section until PERFECT!
  2. Hands Separate: Take a section, and play each hand separate until you can put them together.
  3. Finger group: Practice playing scales and concentrate on using the correct fingerings.
  4. Counting aloud: A good tool to use not only when you are fixing incorrect rhythm, but also periodically throughout the week just to check and make sure the rhythm is properly in place.
